The city of Jodhpur today was once a small portion of the grand marwar state before independence. Hundred of centuries befor this desert came into existence, this area was a sea called Drumkulya. Epics have it that an arrow bound fire shot by Lord Rama burnt a large part of the sea and converted it into a desert. Hundreds of years later and after having undergone the ravages of several Kings and their battles , under the rule of king Rao Jodha of the Vikram Era (1510), the city was slowly established around the fort constructed by King Rao Jodhar. 
Mount Abu is a diverse city which was a part of the Rajasthan kingdom which was once a resort for the Rajput kings of that particular region. Mount Abu belonged to Maharaja of Sirohi was then taken over by the British Government and used it as headquarters of Rajasthan. It was the most longed for summer destination especially of the Britishers which was mainly to get rid of the dust and the heat and experience the pleasant climate
It also served as a sanatorium for the troops. The small huts and cottages made by the British here tell the story of those times even today. Mount Abu was considered to be one of the moist sacred places of that time since it was visited by millions of Gods and goddesses. There were several saints who visited the mountain for various sacred reasons.
Other than temples Ghats is something people will always like to visit when they come to Pushkar. The reason behind this is that there are Ghats near the lake wherein prilgrims prefer bathing as they are of the opinion that the lake’s water is holy. In case you are also looking forward to have bath in this lake then there are some rules for bathing there like removing your shoes, do not smoke as well as photography is not allowed.
During the full moon day of Kartik Purnima in Pushkar there is a fair held wherein numerous devotees visit this fair. “The Puskar Fair” is normally help during October-November. Udaipur also known as the Royal House of Mewar: Legend has it that the Sisodias of Mewar are descended from Lord Rama whose life story is told in India's great epic, the Ramayana. The chronicles of the bards tell us that in the sixth century Vallabhai was sacked by strangers from the west.The Queen of Vallabhai, Pushpavati, who was on a pilgrimage offering prayers for her unborn child, heard of the destruction of Vallabhai and the death of her husband while traveling through the Aravalli hills in the north. Despairing, she took refuge in a cave, and there gave birth to a son whom she called Guhil, In the seventh century the Guhil moved north, and down to the plains of Mewar, changing their name to Sisodia, after a village they encountered on the way. Rana Pratap (ruled 1572-97) was palace one of the great warrior kings of right, Mewar
The city of Jaisalmer was the foundation of Bhatti Rajput in the year 1156. This beautiful city is regarded as the ‘Golden city’ which is located at Rajasthan. Basically the city replicates the lifestyle that the Rajputs lived during their times. Throughout the city you will depictions of Jain and Hindu deities and magnificent havelis and mansions that are worth seeing.

The significance of this place is that it was utilized by the Mewar rulers to take shelter during the times of danger. One of the most dynamic tourist destinations in Rajasthan is the Ranthambore National park which is located near Sawai Madhopur, a small township which is situated in the middle of Kota and Bharatpur city. This national park is spread over an area of over 39,000 hectors which is approximately equal to 400 sq. kms. The Ranthambore National park was founded in the 19th century where it was recognized as a sanctuary in 1955 and then in 1973 it was well known as the tiger reserve of India. It gained the stand of a national park in the year 1981.
The Ranthambore National park is surrounded by the beautiful and wide ranges of Vindhya and Aarvali and you can also see the extensive Thar Deserts from this park as it is located on the outer edges of this huge desert. This is a memorizing park which has a very magnetic view of bits of vegetation grown in some parts of the park and rest is a complete desert area. The Ranthambore National park is recorded as the one of the most important reserve of the tigers under the Tiger project and thus you can say that this park is well known for tigers.
This national park has the most splendid view in the entire region and the lakes and rivers present there are simply the add-on to the scenic view of this park. The view of the Ranthambore Fort that was built in around mid 10th century is a must watch and is simple outstanding.
Another aspect of the Ranthambore National park is the unconquered forests and the open terrain. The Dhok tree present there is very famous and the view of dried forest is superb. When you will enter the Ranthambore National park you will find Jogi Mahal straight at the end and its foot is the resting room. After that you will find the second hugest banyan tree in India and it is just mind blowing. Then the journey continues with the sight of the Padam Talab and then comes Raj Bagh Talab which is simply beautiful. Then comes the Malik Talab which is also a must view sight of this palace. The entire sight of this park just is not possible to explain in words. When you have a look at the broken walls, old wells and rustic porches you will just be stumbled.

Jaipur also known as the historic city founded in the 1727 AD by the great Kacchawah ruler Sawai Jai Singh II( a great builder, poet and astronomer). The city which is rectangular in shape and divided into nine blocks laid down on the principles of “Shilpa Shastra”. The rectangular blocks also called the “chokris” . All the monuments of Jaipur are centrally located in and around the city. The city is also called the “Pink City”.
